ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

Section 1: Attendance of Meetings

All active members are expected to attend all business meetings.  Absence from a business meeting requires notification outlined below. Each member with 5+ years experience shall attend a minimum of three (3) meetings, including one interpretation meeting during the year.  Members with less then five years experience are required to attend a minimum of five (5) meetings including one interpretation meeting during the year.

1.       Failure to complete the attendance requirements will result in one or more of the following:

A.      Re-classification to Probationary membership.

B.      Becoming ineligible to officiate post-season games.

C.      Becoming ineligible to officiate the following season.

2.       Notification of being absent for a meeting must be received in a written explanation by Secretary of the Association prior to the        meeting.  A phone call to the Secretary may fulfill this requirement but must be followed up by the written explanation within the set time frame.  The request will then be reviewed by the Executive Committee.

REMEMBER THAT ATTENDANCE IS NOT ONLY AN IMPORTANT

PART OF YOUR COMMITMENT TO GVLOA, IT IS PART OF

THE FIVE POINT PROGRAM.  IT IS ALSO AN IMPORTANT PART

 OF YOUR GROWTH WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION.
